Inside Out Party Packages

Inside Out Forest School parties can take place in one of our two local woodlands. (Click on each image for directions)


 We will work with you to create a party that your child will never forget and is different EVERY time. Games, activities and themes can be tailored to each individual child to create a magical birthday celebration.  Parties work with mixed ages and abilities – minimum age of birthday child is 3 years old (for children between 3 & 4 adults must accompany).

All outdoor parties begin with game playing that allows the children to familiarise themselves with the forest setting and to understand the geographic boundaries. All activities can be tailored to what your child wants, the range of ages and their level of confidence in the great outdoors. All party guests receive a personalised wooden medallion upon arrival.

Choose from one of our suggested party themes, or work with us to mix it up and create a bespoke adventure for your junior adventurer and then choose a party package.

Times: Most weekends all year round (apart from August and December due to our Christmas events and holiday camps). We can offer 2 parties a day 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm. Summer weeknights are a possibility. If you can’t see a date that you want please get in touch and we may be able to fit you in.

Children's Party Themes

Woodland Adventure

Parties include den building, game playing and plenty of woodland play – expect them to sleep well that night. Where possible we tailor the theme to work with your child’s interests.

Trolls, Elves and Fairies

…Do you believe? You certainly will do once you’ve spent time experiencing first hand the magic of the forest. Build elf homes, create clay trolls, decorate your own fairy wings/head dress (or fairy).

Nature detective

Love creepy crawlies? Be adventurous and try bug collecting using our guides and special bug catching equipment to identify the bugs before settling down to creating a bug hotel to take home.

Nature Clay

Be inspired by our beautiful woodlands, whilst taking part in a scavenger hunt, find out what they have to offer and make something out of air drying clay to take home. Using our specialist tools and equipment you can print using nature itself, use your imagination to make woodland characters, jewellery and create tiles or decorations to hang and paint once dry.

Back in Time

Go way back to when the stone age man was walking the earth. Using natural materials to prepare pigments to make paints - camouflage yourself before hunting with bows, arrows and spears. Build a shelter and cook a snack around a firepit.

Pirates

Use our metal detectors to dig for buried treasure. Follow maps to where ‘X’ marks the spot. Whittle swords and then do you dare walk the plank across the stream??

Metal Magic

We promise an exciting and totally unique party, where you will use new skills and techniques to produce intricate casts and learn how to heat and use pewter (a metal that has a low enough melting point to melt over an ordinary fire!) to create your very own coins, jewellery, key fobs and whatever you have in mind. This can also be combined with the use of our sheaf knives to ‘whittle’ and create
spears/arrows/staffs. Theme choice: The Romans, The Vikings or good old ‘Robin Hood’
A maximum of 10 people can attend this party and is aimed at 6 years+. (Due to cost in Pewter party packages cost £170 Flora/£210 Fungi/£220 Flame)

Additional Information

  • Parties last 2 hours.
  • Minimum booking is 10 children – maximum number 20.
  • Children should arrive 10 minutes early for a prompt start around the fire circle to go through the health & safety rules and expectations.
  • *Parking for Gnat Hole Farm - Please DO NOT drive through, drop off, or park in Gnat Hole Farm or  Chunal Lane, there is no access, parking or turning around area. Please park along the grass verge on the Derbyshire Level and walk into the farm. Download map here

Cancellations

  • A £60 non- refundable deposit must be paid when booking your party.
  • In the event that adverse weather means a party cannot go ahead as planned, you are entitled to a full refund of your deposit or we can reschedule your party.
  • Parties are cancelled where weather warnings are issued for winds above 40 mph and/or heavy rain. 
  • Feel free to bring your own birthday cake to the party BUT remember the candles, matches/lighter, knife and serviettes.

Covid 19 policy

Inside out will keep up to date with and follow government guidelines with respect to COVID 19.

If government guidelines change, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone sessions. We will give
as much notice as possible for any changes.

Our infection control policy has been updated and will be rigidly adhered to.

This system will only change once government advice allows it to. We will notify all parents of any
change.

Party dates for 2023

Please click on a below date to check availability. To secure your place, please use our booking system to pay a £60 deposit. We will then contact you closer to the time to collect further details.
